Chosen Launches the Wedding Revolution

We couldn't be happier to announce that Chosen Wedding Fair is coming back to Bristol this winter! After the success of last year’s shows (in February and October), 2015’s events are set to be even bigger and better than ever!

On Sunday 1st February (11am-4pm), Chosen Wedding Fair is returning to its ‘home’ at the Paintworks Event Space, with more than 60 incredible exhibitors for a fun and fantastic day. Expect a veritable wedding wonderland of colour, sparkle and smiles that will equally entertain and inspire you on every aspect of planning for the big day.

Planning unique weddings
Unlike traditional wedding fairs, Chosen’s organisers focus on ensuring that they work together with designers directly to help you express your personalities and create your own dream wedding day. So if you’re currently feeling uninspired and are looking for something that’s uniquely you, then without a doubt you’ll love the Chosen Wedding Fair – a day of discovery, celebrating the best contemporary designers, service providers and vintage aficionados you could hope to find.

“Over the past few years Chosen wedding events have been lucky enough to host some of the brightest stars in the industry both established and newly emerging,” enthuses Kiki, the founder. “We’re so proud to support British business. We also fully believe that the designers and makers who we handpick to exhibit at each wedding fair, offer the very best creative, unique, vintage, quirky, stylish and ahead of trend items that the industry has to offer – perfect for the discerning couple!”

A revolution in the making
With a brand new website containing exciting new features, the Chosen team is set to create a storm in the wedding world. The recently launched #weddingrevolution aims to help push industry standards forward, support small businesses, making items more accessible and always bring couples  the very best on offer in the wedding world.

Chosen Bespoke and Vintage Wedding Fair

How wonderful to be writing about another exciting wedding fair taking place this weekend -  Sunday, 5th October 11am-4pm at  The Paintworks Event Space in Bristol. What makes the Chosen Bespoke and Vintage Wedding Fair unique and different from other wedding fairs? Could it be the venue, the people or the suppliers? Well... it’s actually the wonderful mixture of all these elements that make it such a veritable event. After all, it’s not every day you find some of the industry’s most creative and passionate experts all under one roof.

Consider this your day off from meticulous planning and online pinning – it’s time to leave your well-organised wedding planner at home and take your groom, mum or bridesmaids out for a guaranteed day of fun. Who could resist an afternoon of cream tea, live music and plenty of DIY tutorials for all those ‘hands-on’ brides?  And there’s no easier or better way to find the answer to all of your pressing wedding-related questions than with some help from the industry experts.

If you’re wondering whether to pick a cascading bouquet made with fresh flowers or go for a vintage inspired button posy, then Megan Lily Flowers and Vintage Button Bridal Design can help. For wedding cake options talk to Becky's Cake Boutique and address your stationery questions to Something Kinda Cute. There will also be suppliers that can help with your wedding photography, outfits, bridal accessories, entertainment, etc.

Did you know that you can also book a wedding stylist for your big day - someone who will take all the stress of decorating the ceremony and reception venue from you and create a bespoke setting with no hassle at all?  Have a chat to the Little Wedding Helper and My Vintage Flower and find out how they can help.

We may not be able to guarantee the weather but what we’re certain of is that you’ll leave the fair feeling a lot more relaxed and happy about planning your nuptials. You’ll be buzzing with inspiration and you'll have a list of precious contacts who can help put any worries at ease.

Find our previous posts about the event from September and August to get even more details on what to expect. We're also dying to hear how you're getting on with wedding planning, so drop us a message on our Twitter and Facebook pages.

This beautiful handmade bouquet from Ribbons and Tulle is perfect for a bride who loves flowers and wants to keep her bouquet forever. Made with delicate roses in shades of white, cream and ivory, it works the vintage theme to perfection. The bouquet measures approx 20cm in diameter and is covered in handmade double satin ribbon roses, lovingly created with individual petals. With the option of matching corsages, buttonholes and table decorations, the last thing on your mind will be withering blooms.

We love the sophisticated charm this vintage inspired bridal headpiece adds to an updo hairstyle. Featuring handmade silk and lace flowers, with a pearl beaded centre, the comb is enough to add a wow-factor to a simple wedding gown. Delicate lace is adorned with intricately beaded tiny silk flowers and Swarovski crystals to create a fabulous hairpiece – simply stunning!

Playful and romantic, these gorgeous bridal shoes from Monsoon are everything we’ve ever wanted for a wedding day look. Inspired by vintage design and with a peeptoe shape, they are made from beautiful crocheted lace laid over delicate netting. The silky statement bow at the ankle adds old-fashioned glamour, while the 9cm heel and padded lining makes them extra-comfy for those swing moves on the dance floor.

Make it impossible for your guests to say no with these gorgeous floral invitation wallets from Paperchase. Printed onto thick textured card, the romantic vintage rose design sets the scene beautifully for the day. A pretty peach coloured ribbon threaded through the message card adds the perfect finishing touch – oh-so-sweet!

Evoke timeless glamour on your big day with these vintage tear drop dangle earrings from Krisp. With a ladylike feel, the sparkly silver rhinestones set in intricate metalwork are unique gems that will become family heirlooms telling the story of your wedding.

We absolutely adore this vintage-style white cotton lace fan set on a bamboo frame. Having an outdoor summer ceremony? Then fans are perfect wedding favours for your guests and will keeping them cool on sunny days. You can also use them for styling the reception venue – just be creative and have fun with them!
