A West Country Engagement

Today we're sharing engagement photos from bride-to-be and fellow wedding blogger Stephanie Large. 

These photos were taken at Stephanie and her fiance's engagement party at Lydiard Park in Swindon, Wiltshire. The photos were taken by local photographer Chloe Lee.

Sam and Stephanie met more than five years ago, sparked by an internet date that became rather serious! They now live in Devizes, Wiltshire, having Alfie and Tilly (the canine two) over for sleepovers at the weekend.

On May the 4th Sam proposed to Stephanie over afternoon tea, where the ring was hidden under the tea cup. (Stephanie blogged the whole story here: http://aweddingdream.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/welcome-story.html?m=1)

They're now busy planning their October 2014 wedding, which will be in Florida on Disney property - making Stephanie's dreams come true!

Photo Friday: Ben and Shelly's engagement shoot by Sidney Diongzon

There are no better photos than those of a couple in love. With this in mind, we have a treat for you today, in the form of a lovely engagement shoot of Swindon couple Ben and Shelly by Bath photographer Sidney Diongzon.

The shoot took place at Bath's historic Prior Park which provided a gorgeous backdrop.

Sidney describes Ben and Shelly as "just one of those couples in life you meet every once in a while that are genuinely sweet. They've been together for years, yet their relationship seems like they've been together for decades."

"You can tell that Ben is one of those guys that will do anything for his soon-to-be wife. In fact, he even knew Shelly was the one only after three weeks of dating! And Shelly is one of those girls that you can always talk to, and who will genuinely listen. Her zest for life and pure heart always brings a smile to anyone's face. And together, they make one sweet couple."

Sidney is a filmmaker and photographer from California who counts himself very lucky to be able to say he loves his job. He came to the UK after that time old reason - meeting and falling in love with a British girl who he ended up marrying! For Sidney, "my camera is my paintbrush. I love film. I love photography. I love telling stories." Collaboration is also key for him - "it's the key in creating art, don't you think?" he says -  and he loves working with other artists.

These images show a couple very clearly in love, sensitively captured by a photographer with a great eye for composition. We can't wait to see the wedding photos!

Beautiful Bristol pre-wedding shoot

Having been lucky enough to meet the lovely Martin Pemberton, at The Little Wedding Helper's launch earlier this summer, I was super excited to bump into him in the middle of an engagement shoot.  I knew straight away that I needed to share the photos with you.

Martin says: "Craig and Hayley met at school and have been together ever since so they're real childhood sweethearts. They are getting married next year in Weston after being engaged for a year or so now. Craig proposed at the top of the tower in Uphill, Weston-Super-Mere, where he lit a lantern to celebrate the romantic that he is (although he won't admit it, in case his football team get to hear about it - he's already been 'fined' for having photographs taken with Hayley).

Martin offers couples a free pre-wedding shoot on the run up to their special day so that they can get used to working with him and they can develop the style they want for the wedding.  By offering this extra service Martin gets to really know the couple and I think that's a lovely idea.
