Spring 2013 West Weddings is nearly here!

As always, the next edition of West Weddings is packed full of great things for those planning a wedding in the South West.

 

This issue includes a feature on wedding planning while you're pregnant, looks at hen and stag dos at the Aztec Hotel in Bristol, gives tips on wedding dress shopping and has a guide for grooms on how to channel James Bond on their wedding day. 

 

Clifton College threw open its doors for our spring photo shoot which was a day filled with a riot of macaroon colours - mint green, baby blue, rose pink, egg yellow - ushering in all that's the best about the new season. With dresses from Krystle Brides, accessories by Bridezillas, suits from Anne Harding, flowers by Chris Morison and a cake from Pretty Amazing Cakes, the day came together beautifully and was captured in his usual amazing style by David Brewin.

 

With all this plus our usual features - in and out, beauty bible and gown gallery - grab your copy, make a cup of tea and indulge yourself in a riot of spring inspiration.

Summer is a-comin' in!

As I type, the final touches are being put to the summer edition of West Weddings. And what a treat we have for our readers.

Our covershoot this edition took place at Bath's beautiful Holburne Museum and features photography by David Brewin. Our collaborators on the shoot included Shoot DHS models - with David Hill-Souch, company director, as our dapper groom! - Bridezillas, Hush hairdressing and Victoria Park Bridal. 

With warmer weather on the horizon, we look at bridesmaid dresses in summer's latest hues, explore far-flung destinations for your sunny honeymoon, and share a day in the life of a wedding caterer. Our real weddings this edition features a variety of ceremonies and celebrations, including one with a rickshaw and bhangra band!

The grooms aren't forgotten either with features on lightweight suits, which watch to accessorise with and top tips on keeping your wedding sanity.

Spring West Weddings is now out!

It may be grey outside but spring is definitely on the way. And with this in mind, the spring edition of West Weddings is full of gorgeous articles and features inspired by sunshine, macaroons, flowers and other such lovely things.

Our real weddings features ceremonies in Gloucestershire, Somerset and Bristol; we take a look  at new gowns from Ian Stuart, Mark Lesley, Essense, Kate Sherford and Justin Alexander; we look at cufflinks for men; and Sharon Diamond gives us her take on this season's trends.

Our cover shoot took place at The Grange in Winterbourne, which was a beautiful setting for our fab frocks from new bridal shop Allison Jayne and gorgeous groom's attire from Anne Harding.

West Weddings Winter 2011 is out next month.  To wet your appetite here’s a sneaky peak at what to expect inside: Keep your eyes peeled for our beautiful shoot at Cadbury House with modern and vintage styling (spot the oxymoron readers).  We have a feature on pregnant brides, the infamous best man speech and reception entertainers.

What with bank holidays, Easter and all the excitement about the Royal Wedding, we've not yet told you about West Wedding's latest edition.

The summer issue, it's packed full of ideas and inspirations for all those warm weather weddings. There's a guide to finding perfect location for your wedding as well as a guide to finding your perfect wedding dress. A Midsummer Night's Dream - Photoshoot at Eastwood Park

It was dark and stormy night - Well, not quite, but it was a very cold day.  Here's a sneaky peak at our latest photoshoot.  The rest of the photos will be in the summer edition of West Weddings.

Coming up in the spring edition of West Weddings...

The spring issue of West Weddings is out next week - and as usual it's jam-packed with ideas, inspiration and tips for couples tying the knot in the West Country.  

Our "Be Inspired" section is full of real life wedding stories, from intimate country weddings in Gloucestershire and Bath to urban weddings in Bristol - including how one bride used Scrabble as part of her big day! We bring you the best in venues in the South West region, from a luxury eco lodge to castles and stately homes.

In the beauty section, we roadtest the latest pedicure trend - dipping your feet into a tank of fish! - as well as seeing what Hobbs Hairdressing in Bristol can offer in the way of bridal hair makeovers. We consider the "Trash the Dress" phenomenon, debate what Kate Middleton might wear on 29th April, look at honeymoons ranging from safari in Africa to beer and cheese tasting in Germany, and showcase the myriad of clothing options available for the groom to wear.
