'Little Touches' for the Festival Bride

One fun way to accessorise a wedding is with creative uses for glassware.

Most of our readers, if they are also astute Pinterest'ers will probably have noticed this trend by now. (And speaking of Pinterest, did you know you can follow West Weddings on Pinterest here? Hint hint.) Glassware is a wonderful way to add creative little touches to your wedding because they have about a million uses, and as a bonus, can fit into any colour scheme!

Last week I photographed a wedding for some friends of mine (stay on the lookout for more on that next week), and they used jars (tied with ribbon that matched their colour scheme, and filled with candy) to create sweet, vibrant and functional centrepieces for their guest tables. The photo above is just one of their delicious decorations.

Piece of Cake is a Bristol-based wedding shop that specialises in providing special touches - including glassware!

They recently added Cornish Cyder Farm miniature tankards to their collection of adorable wedding accessories. Not only are these lovely on their own, but they add a subtle nod to the 'cyder drinking' festival flair of the west country.

"I love finding little gems whilst out and about," says Leanne Hewish, Creative Director of Piece of Cake. "Inspiration is everywhere and it's something we try to pass on to our brides and grooms. You can add so much to your day by finding little pieces that set your day apart from all others.

"The trick is remembering to make it about you - we're all very different, so why shouldn't your wedding day be too!"
