Step into the Little Wedding Space

Have you heard the latest news? The Little Wedding Space is returning to Cabot Circus Bristol for the 3rd time! From 6th-28th February 2015, you’re invited to step into this innovative wedding world hosted by The Little Wedding Helper and Ruth Garner Photography, together with a wealth of creative wedding suppliers.

Whether it’s inspiration for your wedding theme, unique bouquet ideas or any other wedding details, the Little Wedding Space is the perfect opportunity to meet with wedding experts in a relaxed and elegant environment.

Meet the hosts
With a sprinkle of magic dust in her step, Kirsten Butler is the winner of the Best Special Touch award for transforming every wedding venue she styles into a splendid ceremony/reception space. Ruth Garner is a master at capturing all the details and emotion of a wedding through her professional lens, and also knows a thing or two about making couples feel at ease in front of the camera.

You can read about the previous Little Wedding Space event here and then pop over to our Twitter and Facebook pages and let us know how you're getting on with wedding planning.

Miscellaneous Monday: Loving Local!

Normally on Miscellaneous Monday, we collect our favourite wedding finds from across the web – spanning different countries, many times! – but today we thought we’d share some of our recent favourites from closer to home. The West Country has a thriving wedding industry that we love being part of, so we don’t have to think twice about showing off local suppliers.

Favourite inspiration: Willy Wonka photoshoot by @WWWWBristol

Last week we blogged about Weird & Wonderful Wedding World that’s coming to Bristol for a second time this year. To really set the theme for the event, the creative behind this unique event did a Willy Wonka themed wedding shoot and we are loving every snap! Here are just a few of our favourites, but you can see more over at the WWWW site.

Favourite cakes: novelty cakes by Ann Pickard of the Icing Centre

Ann is far from being your typical wedding cake maker/designer. Not only does she specialise in novelty cakes – but each one is unique to the bride or groom that requests it. Also – forget picking out a cake topper that (let’s face it) doesn’t in any way actually resemble you. Ann also specialises in making sugar models of people – so your cake topper will ACTUALLY look like you and your spouse-to-be! Amazing. Here's one of our favourite designs (full galleries are at the Icing Centre website).

Favourite limited-time offer: The Pop-up Bridal Boutique

Designer Charlotte Smith launched her bridal company in 1998, specialising in ultra-wearable, low-maintenance styles and alternatives to traditional wedding gowns. This year, she’s branching out by launching The Pop-Up Bridal Boutique, which will be resident in The Galleries, Broadmead for 50 days only, starting on the 15th of April. The boutique will feature her collection, which ranges from elegant, streamlined dresses and tailored jackets, to contemporary culottes and short dresses, employing a diverse scope of fabrics. Charlotte herself will be available by appointments for one-to-one consultations and fittings.

Little Wedding Space Pops Up in Bristol - LIMITED TIME ONLY!

West Weddings' own Kirsten Butler (The Little Wedding Helper) and photographer Ruth Garner have taken over (and completely made over) Little White Space - a pop-up shop in Clifton Village - transforming into the Little Wedding Space. Opening their doors a few days ago (16th October), the space is filled with everything you need for wedding inspiration, along with the suppliers you need to achieve your vision. Here's the catch, though: the shop is open for two weeks only! That's right. Every day from the 16th through the 28th of October, you can wander in to have a browse of the beautiful shop these creative women have put together - but act quickly!

The diverse group of suppliers Kirsten and Ruth have assembled is large, including Anna Tyler Cakes, Emma Norton Flowers, The Wedding Reporter, Pudding Bridge, Strawberry Field, Sweet & Pretty Weddings, Lizzy-May, Bristol Vintage and more! For the complete list of suppliers, visit the Little Wedding Space supplier page.

Unlike most wedding fairs, which - though a useful one-stop-shop - can be a bit overwhelming, the Little Wedding Space has been described as feeling 'more like an art installation than a sales environment'. The suppliers - though diverse - aren't an overwhelming number, and have been carefully curated by Kirsten and Ruth. This means that you'll be able to find inspiration and quality all in one (little!) space.

Have some free time this weekend? Pop over to Clifton Village and sip a cup of tea while perusing some lovely and creative wedding artistry at the Little Wedding Space. What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon?
