Today we welcome back Fashion Friday after its winter hiatus. Our first outfit of the year will hopefully give you some inspiration to look at options for mixing and matching your wardrobe while attending weddings this year. With the emphasis being so much on finding the perfect dress (not only for the bride - but for the guests), it's easy to overlook separates as an option for wedding attire, but at what a loss! Separates allow you to get the most out of your wardrobe (particularly during a busy wedding season), and allow you to have fun creating endless combinations of looks.
What we love most about the ensemble below is the statement sequined midi skirt. This really is what makes it wedding attire. If you have a bold piece like this in your wardrobe, all it needs is a complementing (but more muted) top, and then some glam (but simple) accessories to complete the entire look.
What do you think? Would you ever wear separates at a wedding, or do you use a wedding invitation as an open invitation to shop for a new dress? Let us know on Twitter (@WestWeddings) or in the comments!
